Who are we?

The pub industry has never been one to shy away from the treasure trove of youth. Understanding the zest for life, innovation, and passion that oozes from young workers as a source of inspiration and a tool for progression – it is no wonder some 250,000 under-25s are employed in the sector.

With this in mind, three leading industry bodies; The British Institute of Innkeeping (BII), The British Beer & Pub Association (BBPA) and The Perceptions Group are working together on a Pub Chef recruitment initiative.

In an industry where nothing is the same, where you shape your own future and ‘different’ means you’re ahead of the curve, you’ll have access to the training and resources you need to be the best.

We’ve never been more interested in food and there has never been a better time to be involved.

The time of the pub chef has come. Move over Jamie Oliver!

Pub Chef Video

The BBPA has created a sharp, engaging video to inspire young people to pursue a pub chef career. The film, a snapshot of the fast-paced arena of the pub kitchen, will be promoted around schools, colleges, and universities to help raise awareness of the opportunities and aid in recruiting the most promising candidates into the industry.
