Tom Kerridge’s Coach in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, was a new addition to this year’s Michelin Guide after it was awarded one star for its food and service.
The celebrity chef’s other Marlow pub – the Hand and Flower – retained its one star.
Of course there are more awards on the horizon, the prestigious Parliamentary Pub Chef of the Year Award still needs nominations from MPs across the country. Talented pub chefs are being suggested to MPs to nominate by members of their constituency.
The nominated Chefs will compete for the accolade of Pub Chef of the Year from the two categories, Pub Chef and Young Pub Chef of the Year. There will be a big ‘Cook Off’ where the shortlisted finalists will display their skills to organisers, The British Beer and Pub Association as well as judges from sponsors, Nestlé Professional, the All-Party Parliamentary Beer Group and the acclaimed TV guest chef presenter and former Michelin star holder, Paul Merrett.
Nominations close at the end of October so time is of the essence, if you know a pub with great food or a talented chef do ping an email over to your MP today, they are waiting for your nominations. Find out who your local MP is here:- http://www.parliament.uk/mps-lords-and-offices/mps/
